The group from Chapel Hill, NC had formed two years prior and had kept quit busy. No Pocky was recorded in Chicago with legendary engineer and producer Steve Albini. The record showcased their songwriting ability and laid a foundation that the band still exists on today. Decades later, and Superchunk is still recording and touring regularly.
