Constructed of coppered bronze, the obverse bearing a raised and finely detailed bust of Graf (Count) Ferdinand von Zeppelin, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a depiction of a Zeppelin in mid flight over hilly terrain, with a rising sign bearing a date of 1909, above a depiction of a figure etching destination German cities on a large stone tablet, the edge designer
