Croatia, Independent State. An Order Of The Iron Trefoil, I Class With Oak Leaves, C.1942 United Republic of purple velvet interior(Red eljeznog Trolista). Instituted in 1941. A late war cross in black lacquered non magnetic metal alloy, the oak leaves in green lacquer, silvered centrepiece with red and blue enamels, unmarked but of typical B. Knaus of Zagreb manufacture, measuring 51 mm (w) x 51. 5 mm (h), scattered silvering wear on the centrepiece, on an original shortened neck ribbon, near extremely fine.
