Constructed of zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a narrow barrel hinge, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by Steinhauer & Lck, Ldenscheid, measuring 42. 09 mm (w) x 52. 72 mm
