Domaine Bruno Clair Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2013 andre-kientzler Though the colour is never
Description
Though the colour is never deep
This is a slightly cooler vineyard than Moss Wood and it seems that extra warmth in 2015 has really suited it
Citrus fruit aromas mingling with herby
extended time on yeast lees and partial malo-lactic fermentation have added complexity and enhanced the natural citrus and nectarine flavours in the wine
slaty nose
Domaine Bruno Clair Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2013 andre-kientzler Though the colour is neverThere are only two barrels of 2013 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru this year instead of the usual six. The nose is feisty at first, offering fresh mango, dried apricots and wild honey that gains intensity in the glass, then ebbs back and achieves more focus. The palate is taut and fresh with quite pointed acidity and then it just starts to run out of breath at the finish, as if it had used up all its energy on the aromatics. Drink 2017 2030.
