Bavaria, Kingdom. An Order Of St. Michael, Iv Class Cross With Crown And Case, By Weiss & Co. Auction Archive Group of Eight: Military Medal(Verdienstorden vom Heiligen Michael, Kreuz IV. Klasse mit Krone). Instituted 16 February 1837 by King Ludwig I. (1887 1918 issue). Constructed of silver with enamels, consisting of a Cross Patte with blue enameled arms set within a silver frame, the obverse bearing a central oval silver medallion bearing a finely detailed depiction of St. Michael trampling the devil, with the formers shield featuring a blue enameled inscription of QUIS ET DEUS (WHO
