Austria, Imperial. An Honour Medal for Home Guard Meritorious Service, 40 Years Medal visually-hidden named to Langdorf as anInstituted November 26, 1908 by Emperor Franz Joseph I. In bronze, obverse featuring the crowned FJI monogram encircled by a wreath and the inscription CONSTANTIAE ET PATRIAE AMORI, the reverse presents the inscription OCTO LUSTRA, the medal is surmounted by a double headed crowned eagle, measures 34. 8 mm (w) x 50. 6 mm (h), worn on replacement ribbon, minor wear, in better than extremely fine condition.
