Verdure Aux Oiseaux I French Wall Tapestry 70-79 Inches Tall A native of the UnitedVerdure Aux Oiseaux I is an imported French jacquard woven wall tapestry that features exotic birds amid a marvelous green landscape, and is surrounded by an arabesque border. The tapestry's original design was woven in Oudenaerde at the beginning of the 18th century and is now at the Royal Museum in Brussels. Oudenaerde tapestries were very popular in France and some of its best craftsmen moved over to escape its hindering import duties.
