In silver with white, blue, and green enamels, each of the arms finished with two diamond finials, obverse centre shows profile of Marianne facing right with inscription Rpublique Francaise 1870, reverse centrepiece shows flag of France surrounded by blue enameled ring with the inscription Honeur et Patrie, evidence of slight chipping in blue enamel on the obverse centrepiece ring, inclusive of laurel wreath
