Germany, Third Reich. A Medal of the German Red Cross Newly Listed signed by Colonel John G(Medaille des Deutschen Roten Kreuzes). Instituted 6 April 1937 by Duke Carl Eduard of Saxe Coburg and Gotha. (1937 1939 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a Geneva Cross with red enameled arms, joined through the outer quadrants by a white enameled ring, bearing a central gilt and black enameled German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse of the crossed featuring a
