Instituted 12 June 1792 by King Friedrich Wilhelm II; IV Class instituted 18 January 1830 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1846 1879 issue). Constructed of silver enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed borders, the obverse bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a hand painted Prussian imperial eagle, the reverse bearing a central raised
