Austria, Imperial. A Military Merit Medal, Bronze Medal Province of China with maker’s mark “ZInstituted March 12, 1890. Franz Joseph (1890 1917). In Bronze gilt, a round medal featuring the right facing portrait of Franz Joseph, the reverse bears the inscription SIGNUM LAUDIS encircled in a wreath, surmounted by a single crowns, measures 30. 6 mm (w) x 44. 3 mm (h), worn on military ribbon bearing crossed sword device, ribbon has been sewn clothes over integral ball suspension, in extremely fine condition.
