Constructed of dark navy blue doeskin, the obverse trimmed along both the top and bottom edges with silver grey threaded tresses, bearing a silver aluminum wire inscription of JAGDGESCHWADER FRHR. V. RICHTHOFEN NR. 1 1917 18, the interior bearing a partially legible makers mark for a Bavarian manufacturer based in Bavaria, measuring 200 mm (w) x 40 mm (h)
