A gilt bronze cross patte with stippled arms; the obverse with a circular central medallion depicting the Royal Prussian crown, surrounded by a light blue enameled ring, inscribed Gott Mit Uns" (German God with Us) in gilt lettering; the reverse with a circular central medallion depicting the royal cipher of King William I, surrounded by a light blue enameled ring, inscribed Den 18 October 1861)
