Nassau, Duchy. A Silver Civil Merit Medal, C.1860 Newly Listed The interior of the pickelhaube(Silberne Zivil Verdienst Medaille). Instituted 1841 by Duke Adolph. (1841 1864 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a rightward facing profile of Duke Adolph, the reverse with an inscription of ADOLPH HERZOG ZU NASSAU, within a laurel and oak leaf wreath, marked with a silver content number of 950, measuring 29. 94 mm in diameter, weighing 11. 8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
