The tour was done in support of The Fragile, NIN's third album released in 1999. The first leg of the tour saw the band playing abroad, while v2. 0 was North America. Band member Trent Reznor oversaw the creation of an intricate triptych video collage from artist Bill Viola. The band didn't tour again until 2005,
