Japan, Empire. An Order of the Sacred Treasure, Third Class with Case United Republic of (Medaljen for Druknedes Redning)(Zuiho Sh). Instituted January 4th, 1888. A well preserved cased example of a Japanese Imperial Order of the Sacred Treasure, 3rd. Class. Constructed of silver gilt with white enamels, along with sixteen red glass cabochons, on a loop and broad ring for suspension from a period original neck ribbon featuring a gilded clasp, measuring 52 mm (w) x 56 mm (l), near mint. Accompanied by corresponding buttonairre, fine.
