Bozzacchi, Giuseppina - Vintage CDV Richard Wagner sang at the world premiereItalian ballerina (1853 1870), noted for creating the role of Swanhilda in Coppelia (the famous ballet by Leo Delibes) when she was only 16 years old. Due to the temporary closing of the Paris Opera during the Franco Prussian war, and weakened by lack of food, she died of smallpox and fever in the day of her 17th birthday.
