maker marked “Paulmann & Crone” and “RZM M9/60” on reverse
he was deemed no longer fit for war service
Austria-Hungary, Kingdom. An Order of St. Stephen of Hungary, Commander Cross, by C. F. Rothe, c.1980s consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac with extensive 1957 miniature set(Kniglich ungarischer St. Stephans Orden). Instituted May 5th, 1764. The cross is constructed of silver gilt with green enameled arms, on a fixed roop and partially hollow royal crown for suspension from its period original neck ribbon, unmarked but displaying the typical craftsmanship characteristics of Rothe of Vienna, measuring 41. 5 mm (w) x 42. 4 mm (l) not including the crown suspension, a good quality post 1945 manufacture example in near mint
