Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Quebec with mobilization headquarters at Montreal under the authority of G. O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed on April 25, 1916 from Halifax, Nova Scotia, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel J. P. Rexford with a strength of 36 officers and 1,026 other ranks and served in France
