Instituted in 1219 by King Valdemar II, and re instituted by King Christian V in 1671. Christian VIII Issue. Of early manufacture, consisting of twenty eight white and red enamel Dannebrog crosses in bronze gilt, alternating positions with fourteen crowned cypher of King Christian V "C5", and fourteen crowned cypher of King Valdemar II "W", both cyphers in bronze gilt, reverse presenting double sided design, measuring 1,035 mm
