The project was started by Blur's Damon Albarn and founded in 1998. They released their debut self titled album in 2000 on Parlophone in the UK, their home country, and Virgin in the US. The album went Platinum in the US and Triple Platinum in the UK. Since then, the band has grown to be a constantly morphing cool group who blur the lines genres,
