Germany, Luftwaffe. A Krim Shield Newly Listed maker marked lm (presumably Lind(Luftwaffe Krimschild). Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with an intact wax paper backer and dark grey wool liner indicating Luftwaffe issue, unmarked, the shield measuring 54. 98 mm (w) x 61. 93 mm
