The Mission "God's Own Medicine" 2024-04-20 By the fall of 1976The Mission formed in 1986 with former Sisters of Mercy members Wayne Hussey and bassist Craig Adams, soon joined by guitarist Simon Hinkler. All three are in todays line up, marking nearly 40 years since the release of their debut album Gods Own Medicine. After a couple of EPs, the band signed a seven album deal with Phonogram in July 1986. Gods Own Medicine was recorded in six weeks with producer Tim Palmer, known to Hussey from his Dead or Alive
