Germany, Weimar Republic. A German Field Honour Badge United Republic of Type IV (1914-1916) (silvered war(Deutsches Feld Ehrenzeichen). Instituted 1920. (1920 1933 issue). Constructed of silvered and gilded bronze with enamels, consisting of an eight pointed radiant star, the obverse overlaid by white enameled Cross Patte, with a central oval medallion bearing a raised Heer soldier, within a gilded and pebbled ring, with crossed swords through the centre, the reverse with a block hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, marked DEUTSCHES
