Germany, Kriegsmarine. A Leutnant Zur See Blue Mess Jacket, By Heinrich Schneller Hold maker marked with the Hilborn-Hamburger(Kantine Rock fr Offizier). A blue mess jacket presenting as a double breasted dinner jacket, constructed of dark navy wool, with two rows of four fire gilded buttons, the obverses of each present an anchor, the reverses each maker marked with the Assmann logo and inscribed FEUER VERGOLDET, the jacket bears a chain closure with smaller versions of the anchor buttons, the right breast presents an officers breast eagle, constructed of gilt wire threads
