Davis; Davis, born 1890 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, lived in Franklin Manitoba as a student prior to enlisting with the CEF in March 1916. Enlisting with the 196th Western Univerities Battalion, Davis would survive the war as a Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion Machine Gun Corps and would recieve the Military Cross on the occasion of the Kings Birthday in 1919.
