This is a textbook Wehrmacht Heer (Army) EM/NCO’s service belt buckle
measuring 103 mm wide x 770 mm in length
constructed of slate-grey synthetic rubber
with two sets of matching gilt bronze rank pips (Hauptmann) and Caduceus medical symbol
Prussia, Kingdom. A Rare Cross of Merit for Women and Girls 1870-1871 Hold suspended by original silk ribbon(Verdienstkreuz fr Frauen und Jungfrauen 1870 1871). Instituted 22 March 1871 by King Kaiser Wilhelm I. (1871 issue). Constructed of silver with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Patte with a fine quality black enameled core, the obverse bearing a central raised Geneca Cross executed in red and white enamels, the reverse bearing a central engraved and silvered monogram of King Kaiser Wilhelm and Queen Kaiserin Augusta, the six oclock arm
