Vintage Joni Mitchell Summer Tour '79 T-Shirt Halloween Superchunk released No Pocky ForJoni Mitchell, the folk legend from Saskatoon, released Mingus, her tenth album, in 1979. The album is named for Charles Mingus, the jazz bassist, who was involved in the album's production but sadly passed away in the middle of recording. It featured a number of other great jazz musicians, including Jaco Pastorious, Wayne Shorter, and Herbie Hancock. The album's reception was mixed, considering the drastic change of sound.
