In this work by Czechoslovakian artist Alphonse Mucha (1860 1939). Winter is personified in a piece from his The Seasons series, 1900. An ethereal woman stand beneath a winter tree wrapped tight in a pale blue shawl that covers head and part of her face; a mysterious look in her eyes. She is clad in a flowing delicate pale yellow gown before an illuminated snowy winter forest scene
