Russia, Imperial. An Order of Saint Vladimir, IV. Class, Military Division with Swords, c. 1917 Auction issued in Linz on 17( ). Instituted September 22nd, 1782. Constructed of bronze gilt with red and black enamels, consisting of a Cross Patte with straight arms, with crossed swords in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a delicately hand painted insignia, the reverse inscribed in Russian with the institution date September 22, 1782, on a loop for suspension from its correct modern replacement ribbon, unmarked, measuring 35. 0 mm (w) x 39. 0 mm
