Germany, Luftwaffe. An Em/Nco’s Belt Buckle, By Hermann Aurich United Republic of (Fliegerschützenabzeichen)(Luftwaffe Grtelschnalle). Constructed of grey painted magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika on a pebbled background, set within an oval laurel leaf wreath, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws connecting to a period original brown leather strap, the latter maker marked H. AURICH, DRESDEN, with a manufacture date of 1940, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
