Constructed of Gold, consisting of a Maltese Cross with ball finials, the obverse with a central blue enameled circular disc bearing the leftward facing bust of St. Gregory, circumscribed Gregorius Magnus in capitalized lettering, the reverse with a similar central blue enameled circular disc inscribed Pro Deo et Principe (For God and Ruler) in capitalized
