Germany, Heer. An Officer’s Sabre, By Carl Eickhorn Archive with a grey leatherette sweat(Heer Offiziers Sbel). A well preserved Heer Officers sabre, measuring 98. 5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features an 83 cm long, nickel plated, magnetic steel blade with a gentle curvature, sharpened tip, and with fullers running approximately two thirds of the length of each side. The reverse ricasso bears a makers mark of ORIGINAL EICKHORN, SOLINGEN, circumscribing the firms classic logo of a squirrel clutching a sword.
