The zine was founded by friends in high school and went on to be one of the most popular and important institutions in the entire worldwide scene. Alongside the zine, they also ran a record label, released home videos, and promoted shows. Flipside was known for its strong opinions, but that was part of its charm. This original issue, #33, features coverage of comics.
