Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath,joined together at the bottom by a belt bearing a central letter R, around a mounted horse on a hollow background, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked L. CHR. LAUER, NRNBERG, measuring 41. 92 mm (w) x 51. 88 mm (h), weighing 14. 5 grams, with only traces amounts of gilt finish
