A Rare Second War Garrison Battalion Officer’s Cap Badge, 1942 Newly Listed light contact and scattered scuffingThe badge presents a crowned bronze oval inscribed GARRISON BATTALION with the obverse center presenting a white metal overlay of three towers, the base presents a banner with the inscription STAND FAST, the reverse presents two lugs at 3 and 9 oclock, very minor wear, lovely patina, in near mint condition. Footnote: The Garrison Battalions were composed of individuals deemed unfit to serve overseas. The units were created on June 16, 1942.
