A Waffen-SS Gebirgsjäger EM/NCO’s Sleeve Insignia consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Between 1945 and 1948(Waffen SS rmelabzeichen fr Mannschaften der Gebirgstruppe). Constructed of black wool, the obverse bearing a machine embroidered silver grey edelweiss with a golden yellow stamen, situated within an oval silver grey ring, the reverse retaining a cotton rayon blended cloth backer, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 70 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
