Mott 9K GOLD and enamels, maker marked "T. L. M." (Thomas L. Mott) and marked "9 CT" (Gold) on the reverse, 14 mm x 43. 3 mm, horizontal pinback, white enamel loss on the wings, very fine. Footnote: The Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) was the air arm of the Royal Navy until near the end of the First World War, when it merged with the British Army's Royal Flying Corps, to form a new service
