It states that the President of the United States promoted a soldier of the 13th Infantry Regiment to Second Lieutenant on November 22nd, 1814, and that he is to take rank as such from January 31st, 1814 onward. It is endorsed by Lieutenant George Hembold and signed by the 5t U. S. President, James Monroe. The document measures 197 mm (w) x 253 mm (l) in
