A Waffen-Ss Gebirgstruppen Cap Edelweiss Archive lower SaxonyA mint and unissued SS Gebirgstruppen Cap Edelweiss; silvery grey embroidered flower petals and dual leaves and stem, with seven bulb yellow stamen; on a black wool backer; measuring 70 mm x 44 mm; mint and unworn condition. Footnote: These Waffen SS Edelweiss insignia was worn on the side of the Waffen SS mountain troop M43 caps. Edelweiss flowers traditionally represent bravery and courage in German Austrian culture.
