The soldier in question is Karl Koch (born 1905), Lance Corporal in a Sanittstruppe (medical troop) at the Medical Park 103 in Agram (Zagreb, Croatia). There, Koch served between February and December of 1943 by refitting and supplying Croatian troops with medical material.
