Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, unmarked, measuring 66. 10 mm (w) x 53. 24 mm (h),
