In silver, the obverse bearing raised shields overlaid by the emblems of the Hanseatic cities in high relief, topped by an inscription of GOTT WAR MIT UNS (GOD WAS WITH US), the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of DEM VATERLNDISCHEN KAMPFE, 1813 1814, ZUM ANDENKEN (TO THE FATHERLAND CAMPAIGN, 1813 1814, IN MEMORY), circumscribed by an inscription of HANSEATISCHE LEGION
