As a result the wearer was also protected on the open spots in the suit of armour. This shoulder piece is made of round chain mail rings with an inner diameter of 8 mm. The rings are woven four in one and butted. The shoulder piece measures 36 x 14 cm and has a neck opening of 15 x 14 cm. It weighs approx. 1 kg.
