Sutton Hoo helm, 1.3 mm Torques Sallet flat on the headThe original helmet was found in 1939 at the English town of Woodbridge during archaeological research after the Saxon boat grave of Sutton Hoo. Nowadays it is part of the collection of the British Museum in London. The helmet shows similarities with the 7th century helmets found in Vendel (Sweden). This helmet is provided with the late Roman neck and cheek flaps, the engravings of the helmet and the grave in which it was found give the impression
