The skirt is covered in hand stitched gold metal appliques. They look like the flat mesh pieces that are used on Whiting and Davis mesh bags. There is a side metal zipper and hooks and eyes for closure. The dress is hand made. It is in good condition with the exception of one missing "bead" , a scratch in the fabric just below the missing "bead", and a small tear
