Lava Flow P09387-P00061 Black Lacquer: Materials: MahoganyA hybridization of the artist's "Cascade" and "Strata" series, this piece's exterior is composed of crimson, scarlet and maroon red glass chips and powders. Laid out on a steel plate prior to blowing, the pattern is fused to the surface of the glass when blown. The horizontal band is a hot wrap of yellow and orange glass chips applied to the surface of the piece. The artist engraves the piece, carving a vertical pass that reveals a yellow interior.
