The unique surface designs are created using a technique know as sgraffito. Layers of color are fired at 1450F in a kiln. The last layer is scratched through to reveal the surface underneath. Each pair is slightly different and unique. The backs are enameled in a lovely speckle gray color. Sterling silver earwires.
